My Favorite Reads of 2022

I have read quite a few books over the past year. Although I am a very picky reader, some of these books were attention grabbing and extremely enjoyable! So if you are looking for something new and interesting to read – here are my top choices that I read in 2022.

1.The first book I would highly recommend is We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. This was a mystery book with lots of past truths coming to life throughout the book. This book was hard to put down and even easier to pick up. The main character, Cadence, is a teenager girl in a seemingly cookie-cutter life, but you soon realize how imperfect things truly are. By the end you are in shock of how much has happened!

2. My second book recommendation is The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein, a book with a very bittersweet story and a cute ending. This book has a very interesting plot that follows a family and their life with their dog Enzo and their daughter Zoe. During the book, there is a very big turn of events that makes you quite nervous. If you read this one, be prepared to cry!

3. A recent book I just read is Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak and what a good book! This story starts off very normal and mellow, but quickly picks up speed. This story has a lot of mysteries that you slowly uncover throughout the book, and eventually by the end, the whole plot ties together. I could not put this book down. This is a highly recommended book from me.

4. The last book that makes my recommendation list is Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight. This book is another mystery that takes to the end of the book to uncover the true story (those seem to be my favorite kinds of books!) A lot of truths come out of the text about family, high school friendships, and more.

With new releases being published every year, there are endless reading options! This small list captures just a few of my recent favorites. Happy reading!
