In 2023, 1 in 8 women were diagnosed with breast cancer. In honor of this, every year, Point Pleasant Beach hosts a breast cancer walk to support a great cause. This year, the walk is on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

Check-in starts at 8:00 am at the Silver Lake Lot across from Jenkinson’s. Stage programs, including the national anthem, speeches about the cancer survivors, singing/dancing begin at 9:00 am. At 10:00 am, the walk route will open with a ribbon cutting.

The walk is a 3.1 mile non-competitive route along the Jenkinson’s boardwalk, perfect for all families and friends. There will be mile marker photo stops, water stops, and refreshment tents. When you cross the finish line, there will be some after-walk refreshments, including water and snacks sponsored by Stop & Shop. There will be an after-walk party after 12:00 pm at Jenkinson’s, where there will be live music and some good food.
