Hey seniors! Our final school year together is filled with tons of important dates. We know you might be feeling overwhelmed with college applications, class schedules, and involvements. The Senior’s Corner will be a page written by your class president to ensure you stay up to date on all of the important deadlines and dates of senior year. Make sure to check The Point Press at the beginning of each month to see what’s going on with the class of 2024!

Homecoming is coming up! The week of October first all grade levels will be planning decorations for the busses and hallways. Meet in Mrs. Grainer’s room on Wednesday, October 4th and Thursday, October 5th during lunch to design decorations, and help put them up in the hallway Friday, October 6th after school. We will be decorating the busses the day of the homecoming game, October 13th, after school. In addition to decorations, seniors will partake in the homecoming court this year. Teachers will nominate the court to be announced October 5th over the all call. Seniors have the opportunity to vote on the homecoming king and queen October 10th and October 11th via google form, which will be announced at the homecoming football game during halftime. Students elected to the court will be asked to send in a bio to be hung in the main office hallway. More information to follow.
Powderpuff is approaching. Please visit outside of Mrs. Grainer’s room (210) to pick up your release forms and checklist. Sign ups will be after school October 11th and October 12th after school. Make sure to bring your permission slip, $25 cash or check made out to Point Pleasant BOE, and two canned goods. Information on practices and the game is included on the checklist outside room 210.
Yearbook submission deadlines are coming up. Please submit your senior autographs and senior superlatives by October 16th. Please submit your senior quote and bio by October 18th. Please submit baby, car, pet, and throwback pictures by October 23rd. Also make sure to select your yearbook picture on the Lors website.
We’re hosting a giveback night at Fins October 17th. Parts of the proceeds will go towards our class, which we put into senior ball, senior picnic, and Project Graduation.
FREE BALL BID available! We have a T shirt design competition for our Project Grad shirts! Winner will receive a free bid to ball. If interested, please hand in your bid to the Main Office by Friday, October 20th.

The early decision deadline is approaching. The majority of colleges use November 1st as their early decision deadline. If you are interested in applying early decision to a school, make sure to complete your application by the deadline. Be wary of any other deadlines for schools you’re interested in as well!
