Fall sports have taken over the attention of Point Pleasant Borough High School! Football and field hockey move on throughout states, dominating the competition.
Girls and boys soccer have also had a great run of the season, making it through the first round of States, unfortunately however they both lost in the second round of states. The boys Soccer team came into the State Tournament as the 8 seed playing the 9 seed Metuchen in the first round and winning 5-2. Later playing in the second round against the 2 seed and losing after a 1-1 tie and ending in a PK shootout.
The girls soccer team had a near perfect record in the season, placing them at the 4th seed playing the 14 seed Al Johnson. They went on to beat them 3-0 for the first round. However, in the second round against the 5 seed Wall township they lost 1-0 after a great battle with Wall.
Sadly, the boys and girls varsity soccer teams seniors now say farewell to their high school careers after each having a very rewarding season. While Fall sports have come to an end, the memories that the PPBHS Football, Field Hockey, and Soccer teams have made will last a lifetime.
Farewell to fall sports until next season!
