New Jersey high school football teams have started playoff games. PPBHS is currently the top seed which means they play the lowest seed first round, and could have the easiest bracket overall. The panthers are currently 8-1 with their one loss being a big upset given to them by Manalapan, with the score 24-23. They could possibly match up with teams that they have played recently in the playoffs, those teams being Willingboro, who they lost to last year and beat the previous year, and New Providence, who they beat two years ago.
The Panthers have beat enough teams and played well this year, and they are ready for a new and bigger challenge. In order to make it to Rutgers, they need to win these next four games. Spotswood is the first round matchup for Boro, which is happening Friday, November 3rd at home. In fact, all of the playoff games will be at home because Boro is the top seed in the South Jersey Group II super section.
The football team is ready for this tonight and are confident in in their chances. Not only does the football team believe they are capable of dominating Spotswood with their high powered offense, they are also poised to make a run at the overall Group II State Championship.
