Ticketmaster has been having problems with consumers and artists recently, due to high ticket prices. Unsurprisingly, they were overcharging for tickets which was discovered publicly last year. Not only was the website overcharging, but they also have been overselling more tickets than were actually available the past couple months. Taylor Swift had this problem when the tickets for her popular Eras tour were first released and too many fans flooded Live Nation, all at the same time, to purchase tickets.
Due to this large issue, Zach Bryan revealed he has been fighting with Ticketmaster about his own tour prices. Bryan’s followers have been voicing their struggle to purchase tickets. When nothing changed, Zach felt the need to release the album All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster on December 25, recorded live from the Red Rocks, leaving fans confused about the conflict between the two.Â
Zach Bryan also attacked Ticketmaster during his last tour, because of the issues with the ticket prices. Again, there were suspicions they were selling too many tickets than were available, along with the skyrocketing prices. Bryan has alleged that the website is “intentionally broken” and decided to make this war even more public with the accusatory name of his album.
After the last tour’s conflicts, Bryan released his new tour dates for the upcoming tour Quittin’ Time. He has expressed that he would be giving the website another chance in order to redeem itself. To try and guarantee no problems with the purchasing prices, he also made his tickets for this year’s shows non-transferable. This will hopefully stop the overselling and make ticket purchases much smoother for fans.
