Have you ever wondered how the homecoming court works in Point Pleasant Borough High School? Throughout many years at PPBHS, the teachers pick a selected few of students who will be in the running for a spot in the court. This year the homecoming court class of 2024 girls were Paige C., Mary C., Gabby G., Lindsey L., and Adelaide V-P. For the boys homecoming court class of 2024 was Ryan A., Jared D., Brady D., Colby J., and Timmy S. These students were chosen by their classmates who had the final vote on who makes the court. The king and queen were announced during the football game on Friday, October 13 at halftime.
This year’s homecoming court king and queen were Jared D. and Lindsey L. Lindsey wants to earn her master’s degree in special education after high school. She said, “living in Point Pleasant shows the beauty of living in all four seasons, with incredible people. In a small town you have the ability to make friends with quality over quantity.”
Jared Drewes wants to become a physical education teacher and a coach. He plans on attending an in – state college next year after high school. What Jared finds special about Point Pleasant is, “it is so close to the beach and the boardwalk people come here for a vacation in the summer and I get to enjoy it all year around. It is a small town where everybody seems to know one another. I love living in the Boro and hope to work here some day.”
Congratulations to the homecoming court and winners!
