While it’s typically the boys who dominate the football field, powder puff flips the script, allowing girls to take center stage as they battle it out on the gridiron. One of the most exciting aspects of the powderpuff game is the clash between the senior and junior classes in this spirited event.

They dedicate time and effort to practice, strategize, and build strong teams. The coaches hold practices to select the most capable players. The practices include tryouts to create the best team to win. During practices, seniors and juniors not only refine their football skills but also build teamwork. These practices often become opportunities for the girls to bond with their classmates and it’s a time for them to have fun and try something new. 

When the time comes for the seniors to face off against the juniors on the football field, the atmosphere is electric. Friends, families and coaches gather to cheer on their respective teams, adding to the excitement and energy of the event. The game itself is a testament to the determination and sportsmanship of the young athletes, as they compete for bragging rights and class pride. Point Boro spirit is spread through our school events and this game is just another addition to building our school community. This is a great time to all gather together and share support for our upperclassmen. There is so much to be thankful for in Point Pleasant Boro and this game is strengthening our bond and showing off our thanks right before Thanksgiving!
