According to a new study, New Jersey is the 23rd state containing the worst drivers. Based on the number of incidents per 1,000 drivers in each state, with data provided by LendingTree’s QuoteWizard, New Jersey ultimately ranked 12th for accidents and 24th for DUIs.
Within the state, Northjersey.com states that the best drivers are in North Jersey and Bergen, topping the list. Not to be biased, but if you’ve ever been up North, you’d know that’s ridiculously false. Supposedly, the best drivers in South and Central Jersey are in Perth Amboy, Mount Laurel, Camden, and Cherry Hill.
Interestingly, the worst drivers, according to the list, are Brick, Howell, Jackson, and Toms River drivers! However, Cat Country 107.3 has revealed that Trenton “has the largest share of drivers with at-fault records.” Trenton has the most violations issued, which accounts for the fact that its violations are 12% higher than the rest of New Jersey’s average.
