Taylor Swift finishes the year strong by making history once again. In 2023, Time Magazine released their annual person of the year. This award focuses on groups, people, or an idea that changed society that year. Swift has now  broken a record by becoming the first woman to be featured in the magazine twice. Swift’s first appearance in Time Magazine was as a Silence Breaker in 2017. Swift is the face, once again, in the recent 2023 magazine. 

From breaking charts, box offices, as well as Ticketmaster, she continues strong by becoming one of the biggest names in the industry. Her powerful songwriting skills creates a bond with her fans that no other artist has. Roughly 70,000 people stand and wait for her performances night after night. Her Era’s Tour became the highest grossing tour of all time. After her release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version), she officially hit billionaire status. She didn’t just impact the music industry. She also influenced the economy, and even the NFL. Recently, the NFL has been skyrocketing in views all because  of the swifties tuning in to see a glimpse of her on the big screen. The Era’s Tour created a huge impact on the economy. Merchandising increased roughly 12%, and the US economy alone boosted $5.7 billion.
