March Madness is right around the corner. With just about a month left until the biggest college tournament of the year, fans are gearing up for an exciting and memorable tournament with buzzer beaters and heated trash talk. Of course, the question we all have: which team will make a Cinderella run this year and march their way on through the rounds?
With Uconn being the top overall seed we are on the lookout for back to back championships for them. They would join coach K when he did it with Duke in 1991-1992.
Houston, Purdue, Arizona and Tennessee are the other teams in the top five, at the top of the polls to win it all. Purdue looks to make a real run at it this year after being the first #1 seed to lose to a #16 seed in tournament history. We are predicting a couple huge upsets this year. Kansas has been looking very shaky as of late and they need to find some sort of momentum before the tournament starts in a month.
The official bracket will be released on March 17 at 6pm on CBS. With how it’s looking, the prior mentioned teams will probably have the one seed in their respective side of their bracket. Our prediction is a Uconn repeat. The story line is there. It would make history and watching a dominant team like Uconn with a chip on their shoulder from last year is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Nevertheless Duke is always looking to make a run at the title. Can the new edition of freshman Jared McCain make a difference for this Blue Devil team? I guess we will find out in a month.
Overall, it will definitely be an interesting month of basketball. Our main interest is how Purdue will bounce back after the biggest upset in college basketball history last year, and what other upsets will happen in this year’s tournament.
Many big named schools are going head to head, fighting for not only the championship, but the pride of saying that they are the best college basketball team in the country; these teams will be leaving it all out on the court.
