At the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift announced her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poet’s Department, releasing April 19. Fans were expecting the announcement of Reputation (Taylor’s Version), but this new album has come as a welcomed shock to fans. The album will have collaborations with major artists such as Post Malone and Florence and The Machine. Many fans are excitedly awaiting the album, including some of the students from Point Pleasant Borough High School.
“Yeah, I would say I am excited, I’m ready for all of it,” Says Krista, a junior at Point Pleasant Boro High School. Fans cannot wait for the release of the new album, especially because of the alleged drama surrounding it.
Many fans believe the album is based on a leaked group chat featuring her ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. The group chat was titled “The Tortured Man Club,” clearly mirroring the pop singer’s new album. There is also a song named “So Long, London,” which people believe to be referencing Swift’s British ex-boyfriend.
This drama has drawn a lot of attention to the album. On top of that, the success of Swift’s The Eras Tour has brought in a ton of new fans and placed Swift as one of the top artists in the world. Will you be tuning in?
