Super Bowl LVIII, the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers was almost as exciting as the HALFTIME SHOW! The highly anticipated halftime show for the Super Bowl was performed by Usher. Usher came out with his first song for the show, “Caught Up”, which is one of his hit songs that set the stage for a very exciting show. Many surprise guests were floating around on the media yet to be announced until the day of.
In our opinion, we think Usher should have come out with a song that the entire audience could get behind. Even non-Usher listeners know his song “Yeah!” You know?? Peace Up, A-Town! This song would have had everyone in the audience on their feet and ready for the rest of this performance. We believe if Usher came out with one of these songs it would have jump-started the show instead of leaving it until the end of the performance.
Although Usher’s Super Bowl halftime show was spectacular, many people felt like he should have included songs that were more upbeat and well-known. For example, the show was lacking “Without you”, “Scream”, “More” and finally, “Dj got us Fallin’ in love”. If Usher incorporated these songs it would have made everyone who watched and attended at the stadium feel like they were at a party having the time of their life.
Aside from what Usher could have incorporated, he still put on a good show with many special guests, a ton of Las Vegas entertainment, and cool tricks like roller skating. Even though we think he may have missed an opportunity to turn the show into the ultimate throwback party, Usher’s show was out of this world!
Since the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, performed by Rihanna, viral trends on TikTok started to predict what each Super Bowl halftime performer would open up with. This year many people on TikTok predicted that Usher would come out with his most famous songs including “Yeah!” or “OMG.” This is a super fun way to get people all over the world to bond with each other and make the Super Bowl halftime show more enjoyable.
As people who love the Super Bowl halftime show, seeing all these TikTok videos made our experience more exciting And jaw-dropping when Usher first stepped foot on the stage. This exhilarating trend will be carried on for generations and we can’t wait to tune into next year’s Super Bowl halftime show predictions.
