You have most definitely heard of the coffee shop Rook Coffee Roasters, or just Rook, if you live here in New Jersey, as it’s become a household name over the past few years. Rook started as just one small location in Monmouth county and has expanded around the state. As described by News 12, “The popular java spot started off as a tiny café and has now grown with several locations.”
The shop was popularized by their unique flavored brews. Rook has three iced coffee flavors that are constantly in store and there are always one to three seasonal flavors that are only out for a short amount of time and change monthly. Rook changes their flavors because they want to have something that stands out and is unique versus other coffee shops. They do very well business by doing this. Rook will give out hints on social media and then drop the new flavor a few days later, which makes it a fun game for customers.
They include flavors such as strawberry mocha, mocha mint, toffee style, and many more that are so delicious! For me personally, Rook has became my Friday morning treat and my favorite flavor is strawberry mocha, which is usually the flavor in February for Valentine’s Day. Some Rook fans I spoke with also described that they love the cherry vanilla brew.
As new flavors leave and new ones come around, I always like to find a new favorite. It is an absolute staple to having a good day. Being a senior in high school with plans to move to a different state for college, I will make sure to visit every time I’m home.
If you’re in the New Jersey area, try to make a stop and get some good ol’ Rook!
