Spring break is the perfect time to shake off any winter blues and finally start feeling the warm weather that is slowly coming in. It is a time to relax or to go out and have an adventure with family and friends. Everyone loves spring break because you can finally have time off from school and do things you truly enjoy.
Sometimes it can feel bland when you don’t know what to do during spring break, so here are some ideas to make it a spring break to remember:
- If the weather is nice and sunny, grab a book, shades, and some blankets. Go to the beach, relax and read a book. You can also invite a group of friends and get a game of volleyball going, have a picnic at the beach or you can paint. The ideas are endless when it comes to going to the beach.
- You and friends or family could go on a road trip somewhere close by like NYC, Maryland, or the Carolina’s. Take a small weekend trip somewhere nearby, rent an AirBnB and just have a good time with friends and family exploring places you haven’t seen before.
- Learn to do something new. You can learn a new skill or hobby. Sign up for karate lessons, cooking classes, vase making or art classes. It can be an exciting new thing that you can brag to all of your friends and family about.
- If you are on a budget you can always just stay at home and host movie marathons, game nights, spa day, bake desserts, and just have a good time enjoying activities in the comfort of your own home.
- Jenkinson’s will be opening early this year, so if you’re at home and have nothing to do go to the boardwalk: go on rides, play games in the arcade, and you can enjoy some funnel cake or ice cream.
Just remember spring break is a time to relax and have fun – it is almost like a reset. Enjoy your break because when it is done, it will be the final push in school until summer. Make it count!
