On April 10th, 2024, O.J. Simpson was pronounced dead at 76, in Los Vegas Nevada. His cause of death was due to his struggle with prostate cancer, which he has been battling since May 2023.
O.J. was notoriously known for being an American football player, representing the team of the Buffalo Bills. He made a name for himself, often being seen on television and film.
Then, in 1994 Simpson gained notoriety as he was on trial for the murder of his ex-wife and her friend Ronald Goldman. After a televised, high-speed chase, and despite many accounts of evidence, eleven months later he was sentenced as not guilty. This took many on a toll, figuring out whether or not he was guilty of this crime.
Later in 2007, O.J. was convicted of armed robbery. He was sentenced to 33 years of imprisonment with a minimum of nine years without parole. Simpson was released on October 1st, 2017. He stayed off the radar, until his death on April 10th, 2024.
His family came out on social media about his passing. Many view his death very differently. While others tended to view his conviction charges and murder accusations, some still view him today as an icon for American football.
