Many highly-anticipated movies are coming to theaters in 2024 and 2025. People worldwide are counting down the days until they will walk into the theaters with their friends and get to see these popular coming attractions.

Starting with thriller fans, one of the biggest thriller movies to come out this year is Saw Xl, which came out on September 29, 2024. It will also be available to stream on Hulu at a later date. The next trending thriller movie this year will be Megan II coming out on May 16, 2025. 

Next for the action movie fans, another highly awaited movie of 2024, is Moana 2, which will be released on November 27, 2024. For superhero movie fans, Superman is also coming out in July 2025.

On the other hand, some of the top drama/romance movies coming out are Wicked and romantic holiday film, Our Little Secret. Based on the hit Broadway show, Wicked is set to premiere on November 27, 2024, with the sequel coming out in 2025. Also, on November 27, 2024, Our Little Secret, starring Lindsay Lohan, will be released on Netflix.

Lastly, the comedy movies which will be released this upcoming year include a sequel and a live-action remake: Zootopia 2 and, Disney fan favorite, Lilo and Stitch are both due at the end of 2025. 

Looking at the year so far, one of the most trending movies that came to the theaters in 2024, was Inside Out 2, which came out on June 14, 2024. Twelve million people sawthe film in theaters the first weekend it was released, which surpassed many movies in the past years. According to The Walt Disney Company, “This Pixar Animation Studios film — which brings audiences back into the mind of Riley as she deals with a host of new emotions as a teenager — has crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office in 19 days of release.”
