P. Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, is a famous American rapper with millions of listeners on his Spotify account. With years of popular hit songs and albums, Combs is considered to be one of the wealthiest musical artists. However, recent criminal allegations have come to light, launching an investigation into the rapper’s notorious behavior and ending with an arrest.
Combs headed to jail on Tuesday, September 24 awaiting trial; he was sent to the Bronx prison in New York known to be one of the most violent prisons. He will remain in jail and held without bail. The alleged crimes Combs has committed since 2008 have led Diddy to where he is now, even as he claims innocence still to this day.
Combs grew up in Mount Vernon, New York and then moved to the Bronx, attending the Bronx Academy for his education. He did not seek further education but instead turned to music, which today made him a rough estimate of around four hundred million dollars. His father tragically passed away at the age of three making him grow up quickly. According to the DailyMail, Combs feels that his dad played a role in the route that he went on – staying out of the streets hitting the books and trying to be somebody. Sean relates to his dad saying, “I have his hustler’s mentality, his hustler’s spirit, his drive, his determination, his swag.”
Comb’s New York house was seized and evidence relevant to the case has solidified his guilt in the minds of many. Major celebrities, such as Usher, Justin Bieber, and Ashton Kutcher, all had friendships with Combs and have alleged that they’re open to testifying in the case if called. As more details have emerged, the list of names, given by an unknown source, added additional celebrities which attended his infamous parties and may now be facing allegations of their own misconduct, including Lebron James, Kevin Hart, Meek Mill, and many more.
Sean Combs awaits court proceedings which could result in a life sentence.
