There are two baby animals taking the internet by storm right now for their unique and funny appearances. First, we have Pesto who is a baby penguin that was born in the great down under, Australia. Found at the Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium, Pesto is currently a whopping 50 pounds at only nine months of age. That’s a big guy right there. Pesto has the hearts of animal lovers all around the world because of his size and his looks. Can you blame them? 

Now, farther north, we have a competitor. Her name is Moo Deng which translates to “bouncy pork”, which is a fitting name for this small critter. Moo Deng is a pygmy hippo who has recently become famous from videos on the popular video sharing app, Instagram. The hippo has brought a lot of attention to the zoo where she is located, Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand, with her family. She is much younger than Pesto the penguin, who is nine months old, as Moo Deng is only two months old. 

This all sounds silly, however there are a lot of positives to the media attention. For example, Moo Deng has bought in four times the revenue for her zoo, and has supported her family by, just simply, being cute. Pesto has amassed his zoo’s Instagram account to over 1.9 Billion views and has brought a lot of attention to his home in Melbourne.

Although these two celebrity babies are both very cute and have taken the hearts of viewers all over internet, you must ask yourself: which is your favorite?
