The new local Rose and Opal Boutique has recently made it’s way into Point Pleasant, owned by a former student here at Point Pleasant Borough High School, Aly Stefan. This boutique now has an in store location, where it can be found on Beaver Dam in our town. This store has been a work in progress for Aly, as it was only online prior years.
When asked about what inspired her to open her shop, Aly says “My inspiration to open my shop was being able to create a safe space for all women of all ages and body types to come and try on pieces to feel not only beautiful, but also confident!”
For the boutique to get to where it is today, she elaborates on how it wasn’t simple. “The process to open my shop was no walk in the park…” Aly explains. She began her business online through social media at around 16 years old. She was selling the clothes from a storage room in her house. Once Aly graduated high school, she continued to build her brand and move her store out of her house, and opening her storefront.
Aly loves seeing her customers enter and leave with a smile on their face. That is her favorite thing about opening the store. Aly explains, “Seeing these women’s confidence is what boosts the motivation to keep growing my boutique and better myself as a business owner as well!”
