Florida was on the edge of their seat waiting for a level four hurricane. Hurricane Milton quickly intensified from Category 1 to Category 5 in less than twenty-four hours.
The storm traveled through the Gulf of Mexico ripping through Mexico and causing massive wreckage to the coast of Tampa. Locals to Florida were told to evacuate the state for their protection. The hurricane had predicted winds up to 120 miles per hour, winds enough to rip houses off their frames and cause drastic damage to the city of Tampa and many more.
Hurricane Milton caused mayhem in the majority of Florida. They recorded 24 deaths in the hurricane. Milton also made thousands of Florida residents evacuate their homes to safer states and the people who stayed watched the destruction of their residences which could result in thousands of dollars along with the loss of other sorts of personal items. Over five days of the hurricane 35 million dollars worth of property damages. The money will continue to be spent on fixing the state along with removing debris from the roads.
Hurricane Milton “was the fifth most intense hurricane in the Atlantic basin on record,” according to Climate.gov. The hurricane had record 180 to 220 miles an hour winds, able to move cars and rip house frames down. Hurricane Milton has hurt Florida Mexico and the keys to a drastic amount of debris. The hurricane was a natural disaster and ruined lives and property.
Although we can hope for a reprieve from hurricane season, it is not surprising if another hurricane waits to strike.
