The 2025 Shore Conference Indoor Track Meet will forever be one for the history books for Point Boro Track! On January 30, 2025 at the Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex 3 different members of the Boro track team broke 3 school records in each of their respective events.
Jordan Muraglia – 55 Meters
Senior, Jordan Muraglia, rebroke her own school record in the 55 meter dash with a blazing time of 7.26 seconds. With this time she won first place easily and by over 0.12 secs to be exact. Coming off a season ending injury last year, Jordan proves to be back and better than ever. She will be continuing running division one track at Bucknell University next year, but her work as a panther is not done yet!
Abby Hanemann – 400 Meters
Next up we have senior Abby Hanemann. Abby ran a great race and came in second place overall only losing to Rumson Fair Haven phenom, Clemmie Lilley. Abby’s time was 57.42 seconds and took down the longstanding school record held by Katie Frye. Abby is a superstar athlete and had a major role in the historic Point Boro Girls Soccer Season as they won a State Title and played in the Shore Conference Final. Abby is rewriting the history books for Boro athletics! So it is no surprise that she will be playing division 2 soccer and running winter track next year at West Chester University!
Ivy Slavinski – 1600 Meters
Lastly, we have junior Ivy Slavinski, who like Jordan, also rebroke her own record. Ivy is a distance machine and can run anything from a 800m-5k race. Ivy came in third place with an insane time of 5:00.71 and broke her own school record. Ivy gives it her all every time she steps onto the track whether it is practice or a meet and we cannot wait to see what is in store for her the rest of the season!
