Living in a small beach town the biggest question has always been, what is the best ice cream shop? The question still lingers in the Jersey Shore today. According to many Point Boro locals, three of the best are Sundaes, Hoffman’s, and Point Creamery. Sundaes has three locations in Point Pleasant, Toms River, and Manasquan. Then there is Hoffman’s which has two locations in Point Pleasant and Spring Lake. Lastly, there is Point Creamery which is located in Point Pleasant.
Sundaes has always been a well-known ice cream shop in Point Pleasant. It’s a little farther from the beach, but it is still just as busy in the summer. Customers always give them positive reviews for their friendly service. Sundaes offers an endless variety of flavors and toppings. It always tries to bring in seasonal flavors and specials, so there is always something new to try. Although the line may be long in the summer, many customers say, “it’s worth the wait!”
Hoffman’s is one of the most popular ice cream shops around town. They are right by the beach so it is the perfect place to go after a long day in the sun! Currently, Hoffman’s is doing an “Ice Cream Madness” bracket, based on March Madness, to bring back a popular flavor for the summer. PPBHS students describe the “ice cream is yummy and homemade.” Everyone loves the ice cream and the atmosphere that Hoffman’s brings to the town. It is perfect to sit outside with family and friends and enjoy a treat!
Point Creamery is a newer ice cream shop in town. A local customer described they have “incredible flavors and a great spot to hang out outside!” There are so many different flavors at Point Creamery and compared to other ice cream shops, their flavors are original. Many Point Boro residents have great things to say about this shop, including great customer service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Getting ice cream at the Jersey Shore is the best way to make a memory. You can never go wrong with any of these ice cream shops because each one brings a unique atmosphere and delicious flavors to the table. These shops bring joy and nostalgia that will never go out of style!
