The newest arrival to downtown Point Pleasant Beach is a wellness café called Carpe Vita. If you are looking for something light and refreshing then you should try out Carpe Vita. Carpe Vita is located on Bay Ave, right next to The Beanery and across the street from Little Sunshine Boutique. The café is described as comfy and is seen as a good spot to go with friends and family, or by yourself for a nice healthy date. They offer a vast range of different healthy options like smoothies, juices, and self-serve acai bowls. They also include a wellness market with lots of healthy treats. 

Carpe Vita has such a welcoming environment that makes it such a nice place to hang out with friends and family. They have two different sizes for smoothies, 16oz which is $11, and 20oz which is $12. Some people do think their prices are a little expensive, but most things in the downtown area are pretty competitively expensive. They have a lot of different smoothie specials, some are called cinnamon roll, sunset, golden hour, etc. They also have a lot of different types of bowls which prices vary for, but they are all 16oz for sizing. You can also add different things called “Add-ons” to your smoothie or bowl which is an extra $1.00. There are many different protein powders to choose from as well as different superfoods which are $1.50. 

They are located at 516 Bay Ave, Unit 3, in Point Pleasant Beach NJ. From Sunday to Saturday, they are open 8 am – 4 pm. When asked for people’s opinions on Carpe Vita, they said, “It was really good, but expensive,” said a Point Boro High School Student.

The overall vibe and inviting space add a lot to the cafe as a whole. It is very different from most of the other restaurants and cafes in the area, but a good difference! It brings a healthier side to the downtown aspect. Hopefully, you will all give it a try at some point!
