Senior Keira McNamara

The girls lacrosse team is off to a decent start. Currently, the team is 1-1 in the B-South division, and they are looking to improve each and every day. Here are two players that have made a huge impact on the team so far.

Senior Keira McNamara has provided the team with 136 goals during her tenure on the team, surpassing the 100 goal mark as a junior. Many can only hope to achieve this feat as they move throughout their athletic career. This year, she is looking to lead the team through the daunting schedule ahead, while trying to achieve a B-South title win.

During Keira’s years here she has accumulated a total of 224 total points, won 26 face-offs, and has gotten 46 ground balls. She has been a crucial asset to the girls’ victories over the past few years and she is looking forward to continuing this success throughout the rest of her senior year.

Sophomore Katie Conway has been another key player in the girls lacrosse team’s success as a freshman, and now as a sophomore. During the 2018, season Katie averaged 2.6 goals per game and 3.5 points.

Now as a sophomore, Katie currently has 27 goals in the season, averaging 5.4 goals and 6.8 points per game, adding to the girls’ 2-3 record. Yet her goals for the team extend far beyond this current season, as Katie is looking to build the team for upcoming years.

With such stellar players on the team, PPBHS girls lacrosse should be exciting to follow as the season progresses.
