If you had asked me eight years ago If I would have seriously watched the new Puss and Boots movie as an eighteen year old, I would’ve laughed in your face. Surprisingly, the new sequel was hilarious and super cute! 

The main plot of the story is that Puss is stuck between wanting to adventure and saving his last life. Puss is worried that if he can’t adventure anymore, he’ll be stuck as an ordinary house cat. We follow him throughout the movie as he meets new friends, makes enemies, and searches for the mythical last wish. This last wish can grant anything you desire, and Puss’ wish is to restore his nine lives. Unfortunately nothing is that easy and we see the fight between him and a few fairy tale characters who also want that last wish. 

This movie is definitely a good one and if you were thinking of seeing it, I recommend it! Since it was released December 21, 2022 I’m not sure how much longer it will be in theaters before being released on streaming services. So if you enjoy that movie theater experience, I’d hurry! 

I saw it with a few friends who also thought it was adorable and watching Puss’ character develop was definitely the best part of the movie.
