American Dream Meadowlands takes a brave leap into the future for more than just shopping

The soon-to-be, “super mall of the future” in Bergen County, NJ has not even opened yet and it has already won an international award for its innovative approach to shopping and entertainment.

In terms of local impact, American Dream Meadowlands is expected to generate $1.2 billion in income and provide 16,000 jobs when it opens.

This insane mall, pulled straight out of the works of fantasy, is titled “American Dream Meadowlands” and is set to open its doors to the public sometime in March of 2020. According to an article written by Daniel Hubbard of The Patch, “The $5 billion retail and entertainment complex won the Best Futura Shopping Center Award from MAPIC, an international retail real estate and show held in France every November.”

The over the top mall is taking its sweet time to make sure every detail is perfect; and it is right to do so. Inside the mall, there is not only shopping centers and food courts, like your average mall, but also an amusement park, a Nickelodeon-themed indoor water park, an indoor ski park, a Sea Life Aquarium, an adult-themed “For The Win” arcade, a LEGOLAND Discovery Center, a KidZania miniature attraction for children, a Cinemex 4D dine-in movie theater, and even their own hotel that is currently in the planning stages and could open a year after American Dream.

Most things in the mall are also supposed to be digitized, from actual digital kiosks to augmented reality displays throughout the complex. Smart bracelets will even available allowing parents to shop while staying connected to their children, no matter where they are.

Referring back to Hubbard’s article, “In terms of local impact, American Dream Meadowlands is expected to generate $1.2 billion in income and provide 16,000 jobs when it opens.”

American Dream Meadowlands is making brave, never-before-seen advances into our future. With all that is coming, President and CEO, Don Ghermezian, leaves zero doubt that there will be something for everyone to do at American Dream.
