On Friday October 25th, the Point Boro Panthers (2-4) took on the Lacey Lions (5-2) for the annual Homecoming Game. Not only was this event highly anticipated by the fans and the community, but this was a huge game for the players and coaches as well. That being said, the Panthers are trying to make a late playoff push as they sit below .500 at the moment.

As expected, many fans elected to come out and support the local team and enjoy the homecoming festivities as well. The Panthers, although quiet in the first half of the game, gave it their all in the second half after trailing 17-0 going into the half.

Sophomore Charlie Vitale had a great game for the Panthers, as well as Colby Biggs, and Joey Picolli. In the end it wasn’t enough as the Panthers fell short losing the game 17-7. The Panthers are back in action on Friday, November 1st at home against Manchester as they look to make the playoffs.
