The paper goes digital

There have been many changes to the school newspaper this year.  To start with Mrs. Manser and Mrs. Jensen are the new class advisers.   Also, there is a fresh new group of students at the helm of the paper.  Perhaps the biggest change is the addition of a new online news site.  Starting with our first issues, there will now  be an online school newspaper that will keep students, faculty, parents and community members up to date on all of the wonderful things that Point Boro students are doing!

I am very excited that we are moving forward into the digital age with our newspaper. A special thank you to Mrs. Manser, Mrs. Jensen and all of the journalism students!! Can’t wait to see the finished product up and running!

— Mr. Karcich

When asked how he felt about the new online paper, Principal Karcich said, “I am very excited that we are moving forward into the digital age with our newspaper. A special thank you to Mrs. Manser, Mrs. Jensen and all of the journalism students! Can’t wait to see the finished product up and running!”

You also may have noticed that we have a new name.  With a new staff comes new ideas and the journalism class felt it was time for a change.  The class made some recommendations for a new paper name and a vote was taken.  The name changed from The Panther Pride to…THE POINT PRESS!  Co-adviser Mrs. Jensen said, “Mrs. Manser and I are so excited for the new Point Press. We have a wonderful group of students who are enthusiastic and ready to put out a great product!”

The Point Press staff would also like to give a huge thank you to Mrs. Mitreuter and her digital art students for helping to create and design a new header for the website.  Their artistic eye and abilities helped to create an exciting and professional header for our new site.
